The food is so good, I can't tell if it's the bottomless mimosas talking or my hanger. We had the country fried steak, crab cake bene, and vegan french toast. SOOO GOOOOOOOD. would def recommend!! The only thing I'd really like to mention is that the food takes a while to come out, and the mimosas are strong.

I'm so sad! They're closed! There was this notice taped to the window. Facebook looks like there may be catering or food truck services.

Came here on a Tuesday morning around 10:30 since I wanted to avoid the lunch crowds. The tables were placed more than 6 feet away so that was a plus. Read a Yelp review that they had passion fruit lemonade. Well, I'm a sucker for passion fruit so I ordered that instead of OJ and I'm glad I did. I checked out the menu beforehand and I was set on getting eggs benedict. I decided on crab cakes benny since that appealed to me the most. My friend ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and it looked humongous when it arrived at the table. I think he took more than half in a to-go bag. My crab cakes benny were a bit fishy. Perhaps the crab cakes weren't the freshest, but the taste was good enough. The eggs were runny - just how I like them. I also opted for fresh fruits instead of country potatoes. Yes, my subtle way of trying to be a bit healthier. Lol Overall, a very nice brunch with good company. Yeah, I would certainly come back. This certainly spelled comfort food to me~

A girlfriend of mine came across this while searching for brunch areas in Midtown so we came to try it out since indoor dining is finally allowed. So glad we did try it Such a cute little spot near the Sac State area with some entertainment so the vibes inside and out was pleasant. They have an abundant amount of food options to choose from their menu. FOOD: + Crab cakes egg Benedict 5/5 really good. Right amount of flavor and consistency in the egg. + Fried country chicken 4/5 good but could be less salty. DRINK: Mimosas. They used a sparkling wine which we didn't mind at all. Service was okay. Feel like they were short staffed but they did their best to cater to our needs. Overall, this place is a gem and would come back.

Amazing food and fantastic customer service. I went here for brunch on a Saturday and there was no wait. My group got served right away. Parking can be difficult. I didn't know what to order so I asked the waitress to tell me her recommendations. She gave me a few and I still couldn't chose so I asked her to surprise me with 2 dishes. One of them was a strawberry French toast and the other was an omelet. Both were absolutely delicious! I'm excited to try out the other items on the menu.

came here on a whim because my usual brunch place was too crowded, and i'm so glad i did! evan's is a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but their brunch is delicious. i got the classic benedict with house potatos, and thought it was pretty good. my friends & i also ordered diy mimosas which came with a whole bottle of champagne and juices for only $14. service was so sweet & attentive! my only critique is that the tables are a little closer than i'd like, especially considering covid. they do have print out paper menus!

Peter's Perfect Benny ($13) was good and had some different elements: chicken apple sausage, avocado, and balsamic drizzle. I thought I'd try a different dish without their gravy, but I should have just been a creature of habit. Their gravy with Italian sausage is amazing, and Evan's deserves all the credit and stars for it. Recommendation: call to reserve a table, even if you're a small party or planning to get their soon-ish. Sometimes there is a table available right away, other times it takes 15-30 minutes.

Evan's Kitchen is a great weekend breakfast-brunch spot. Even though we ended up here as a 2nd option, since there was a long wait at another great restaurant, we were delighted with our choice. The season ed staff, great food presentation and convivial atmosphere makes for a welcoming, happy and delicious morning. What more could one ask? I had this tasty dish: RICARDO'S FRITTATA $10.5 vegetarian; mushroom, onion, spinach, sun-dried tomato, fresh herbs, feta, Asiago, and cheddar cheese, topped with fresh tomato, rye toast and delicious home fries.  WISHES: I wish Evan's offered gluten free pancake & toast options. My friend would really be jazzed!! So glad we ended up at Evan's!
